So now onto the final (thank goodness) post concerning the birthday party - the cake smash.
I wasn't completely sure how Julian would react to the cake. I pretty much figured we'd have no problem getting him to smash the thing, but would be actually eat any? Well...no. Not really. He took exactly one taste, and that was only due to an attempt to chew on Thomas the Tank Engine who once was perched on the top of his cake. The rest was pure annihilation.

Just when we thought it couldn't get any messier, someone (who shall remain nameless) decided that a little water would really add to the experience.

And thusly, a cake was reduced to sludge, a baby turned into a slimy smurf and the crowd entertained all clocking in under 15 minutes. And now you know why our living room looks like hell all the time.(Not pictured, attempting to hose the baby down in the front yard - FAIL)
