Fix-It Friday

For a little editing practice, I thought I'd try my hand at iheartfaces.com's Fix-It Friday challenge. I'm still relatively new to editing, but have learned a ton in the last month or so, and I enjoy experimenting when I get a chance. Each of these edits took me about 10-15 minutes to complete (and like 3 hours to post, but that's a whole other story). I'm trying to learn to make my edits quicker and more efficient, but sometimes I just like to play :)   These were achieved using Photoshop Elements 7.

SOOC (straight out of camera):

Clean edit: (levels adjustment or two, dodging/burning to pop eyes, a little sharpening)

Edit 2 - Using PTM's Jubilee action (lowered opacity on some layers and turned others off altogether) this was the first time using it, it was fun!

Edit 3 - a chocolatey black and white conversion...just for giggles.
Achieved using Gradient maps plus a few layers from a few actions, plus some levels adjustments and yeah...I don't remember. I tend to tinker until it looks close to right.

None of these are perfect, but it's fun to try new things every now and then :)
