So here's the rest of the Easter story. Be prepared for picture overload.
Anticipating cruddy weather, Eddie and I took Julian out for a little egg hunt Saturday evening. We started out with 13 eggs filled with bubbles, stickers, sticky hands, a sticky frog...little things like this. Julian didn't really 'get it' at first, but soon caught on and loved hunting the eggs so much that we just kept refilling them and re-hiding them. :)
| Had to take a short break from egg hunting to blow on some dandelions... |
| Phew...that was tiring. |
And so Easter Sunday came, and with it came glorious sunshine! Once Grandma arrived, we went outside for round two of egg hunting. This time there were slightly less eggs (I think a few got lost under the couch), and goodies ranged from cheerios to gummy vitamins to whatever mommy could dig out of the toy box that was small enough.
| What is it? What is it? |
| Oooh...a golf ball. Mommy got a little desperate there! |
| Ze golden egg! |
| Getting a little help from a neighbor friend. |
| And when we finally exhausted the eggs, we had egg stickers. Julian likes to arrange them on his face. These are STILL popping up all over my house.. |
The end of a great day, enjoying a great view off the back of our soon-to-be-new property next door.
So there you have it. As predicted, not a day goes by that Julian doesn't wake up and ask "find eggs!" or mentions the "Easey Bunny." It's great how much mileage one holiday can get at this age. I hope you and yours had a great Easter as well! |
